Enyimba’s coach, Fatai Osho was full of praises for Jigawa Golden Stars following their impressive performance in Aba on Sunday.
Osho’s side had to come back from a goal down to snatch all the three points from the struggling side in thrilling encounter.
The goal from Ruben Bala canceled out Sani Bature’s opener, before Tosin Omoyele netted the winner for the Aba giants in the 88th minute of the game.
Speaking shortly after the game, Osho heaped praises on their opponents for giving his side a very difficult match.
“We want to commend the players for coming from behind and getting the maximum points.” he told the media.
“I keep telling people that most of these teams at the bottom end of the table are not that bad. You can see the quality in this Jigawa team in terms of the play, they are not that weak”.
Next for the People’s Elephants is a trip to Nnewi to play against FC Ifeanyi in a midweek fixture. Victory for Enyimba will brighten their chances of qualifying for the CAF Champions League next season.
