Fatai Osho rues Enyimba’s lack of killer of instinct in front of goal

Enyimba’s head coach Fatai Osho admits his players are struggling in front of goal after another nervy win against Adamawa United in Aba.

Enyimba haven’t not scored more than two goals in a league game this season and scoring just 24 goals in the 23 games so far.

The team laboured to beat troubled Adamawa United 2-1 on Wednesday, and a result that summed up their entire season so far.

Addressing the problem facing the team, and Osho said he is frustrated with the lack of killer instinct in front goal and the inability of his side to blow teams away at home.

The former Remo Stars gaffer maintained that situation change if the attackers are not converting chances.

“Three points is good for us but the performance isn’t what we expected. We started very well, in the first 20 to 30 minutes we should have been three to four goals up.

‘It’s more like a recurring dilemma now, we keep wasting these opportunities, I tried as much as possible to encourage these boys, to be ruthless in front of goal.

“The name of the game is scoring goals if you are creating these chances, you have got to take it, It was a below par performance. It’s just unacceptable.” Fatai Osho said.

Enyimba’s next game is an away fixture against Katsina United this weekend.
