Former chairman, technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, Barrister Chris Green has lamented the neglect and late resumption of camping by the national U17 team, the Golden Eaglets, especially with just 3 months to the start of the FIFA U17 world cup to be played in Brazil.
Speaking with www.brila.net, Green stated that the NFF should not view the Eaglets as less important, as they should be given the same attention as the Eagles.
“What we are saying right now is that these boys should be put in camp as long as they can stay in camp”.
“In all honesty, I do not think it is good for us to start this fire brigade approach. Looking at the U17 tournament like it is not as important as the tournaments that we have at senior level – I honestly do not buy into that”
