Heartbreak for Olayinka, and Sor as Slavia Prague crashes out Europe

Peter Olayinka and Yira Sor could not save Slavia Prague from crashing out of the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday.

The attackers fired blank as Slavia Prague played a 1-1 draw with Sivasspor, that got them knocked out of the competition.

Yira Sor started the game, but was substituted after the half hour mark, while Olayinka played the entire minutes of the game.

It was a frustrating night for Sor who had just 14 touches and one shot at goal before being replaced by Stanislav Tecl.

Olayinka on his part, had 61 touches with 100% shooting accuracy and completed three out of five dribble attempts.

The Super Eagles forward completed 73% of his passes, won 6 aerial duels and attempted three shots.

Slavia Prague came into the final group-stage game knowing that only a victory will guarantee them a knock out phase ticket, bit it was the visitors who took the lead after 28 minutes.

Max Gradel dispatched a penalty after Slavia Prague committed a foul in the box.

The Czech Republic side however fought their way back into the game, and got their equalizer following an own goal from Dimitrios Goutas.

Olayinka and his teammates tried to get the important second goal, but fell short and Slavia Prague were sent parking from the tournament.
