Leicester City forward Ademola Lookman says he can’t wait to join the Super Eagles for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
The Leicester forward was handed his maiden call up by Nigeria following his switch from England.
The former England youth international was included in Coach Austin Eguaveon’s 32 man provisional squad for the March Qatar’s 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against the Ghanaian.
Reacting to his inclusion, Lookman said he can’t wait to team up with the squad.
“And so it begins. my first call up and can’t wait to represent my country. See you soon Naija ” He said.
Lookman will compete with Ahmed Musa, Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon, Sadiq Umar, Odion Jude Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Emmanuel Dennis for a place 24 –man final list for the two big games.
The camp opens in Abuja on 21st March.
