Nigeria wonderkid Gift Orban once again showed why he’s a real deal with a fantastic attempt during KAA Gent clash with Standard Liege over the weekend.
Orban scored one of the goals as the Buffalos beat their 2-1, but it was his wonderful attempt from kick off spot that’s dominating the headline.
The Nigerian attacker tried to score straight from centre spot immediately after the break and the ball struck the cross bar to the relief of the embarrassed goalkeeper.
After the match, Orban revealed he had practiced it in training.
“I always say: ‘I’m a striker, I have to be able to score everywhere’,” said Orban. “I’m working on my finishing in every position.” He said in an interview with eleven sport.
Meanwhile Gent have officially complained to authorities that the player racial abused by social media users suspected to be opposing.
The fans directed some racial comment towards the 20-year-old after the game.
