‘If You Can’t Score Goals…,’ Ighalo Offers Onuachu Advice on Goal drought

Ahead of Nigeria’s second-leg AFCON 2022 qualifier against Sierra Leone, former Nigerian Forward Odion Ighalo has offered Paul Onuachu advice on overcoming his goal drought.

Ighalo, who called time on his international career after the 2019 AFCON where he finished as top scorer, said the 26 year-old needs to focus on working had and keeping his focus.

“If you can’t score a goal as a striker then work to provide assists. If you can’t give assists then work hard for the team,” Ighalo told brila.net

“Onuachu is a good player; he’s strong in the air and very physical as well. He should be confident and bring that focus he has at club level.”

The 2.01 meter-tall Forward has scored just once since his international debut in 2019 and has been capped 9 times.
