Igali reveals Nigeria Wrestling Federation Olympics plan

President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation Hon. Daniel Igali has stated that the Federation hopes to have enough funds to ensure that wrestlers are well prepared and have a large contingent for the Olympic qualifiers in Morocco in the month of March 2020.

Igali speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net said the Federation also hopes to ensure that wrestlers have as many matches as possible by attending many competition and rankings tours so that eventually any wrestler  that will be representing Nigeria at the Olympics would have had at least 20 matches under their belt.
“We’re hoping that we will have the financial resources to get our athletes prepared enough to get probably our largest team going to the Olympic qualifiers in March El Jadida Morocco.
“Then we have a couple of Olympic preparatory tournaments.  Our plan is to have every athletes qualified to the Olympics to get a minimum of 20 matches before the Olympics proper.”
