The AFC Champions League final ended in disappointing defeat for Odion Ighalo and his Al-Hilal teammates.
Ighalo was in action for Al-Hilal who relinquished their title to the Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds following 2-1 aggregate defeat.
The first leg in Saudi Arabia ended 1-1, while Urawa won the return fixture 1-0 to be crowned the Champions.
Ighalo has 7 goals in 8 Champions League games, but surprisingly failed to score over the two legs, despite playing 90 minutes in both legs.
An own goal by Al-Hilal’s Andre Carrillo gave Urawa Red the victory in Tokyo.
Urawa Red Diamonds who are lifting the title for the first time since 2017 will now represent Asia in next FIFA Club World Cup.
