I’m honored to be invited by Nigeria, says English born Adekite Dada

Watford FC Midfielder, Adekite Fatuga-Dada says, she’s delighted to be invited to the Super Falcons squad.

The former England’s U19 player is part of the Super Falcons squad, training in Abuja for the African Women’s Championship qualifiers against Ivory Coast.

“I am quite used to playing in England. I am enjoying it.”

“It’s been good and fun. Everyone has been so welcoming and kind of show me the way. It’s nice to be involved.”

The English-born, Fatuga Dada is in Nigeria’s squad for the first time, after the completion of her paper.

She said: “I have been invited to a training camp like this for the U-19 English team when I was 16. It was kind of preparation camp for the Euros so it was very hard. ”

“This is hard too because of the weather that I am not used to the weather. It’s been so hot. If you are a Nigerian, it’s in your blood and one can handle it.”

“I am honored to be here with Super Falcons in Abuja. It’s been great training with the team to know the girls.”

“I am from Lagos originally and this is my first time in Nigeria. My father came in yesterday and this is his first time in Abuja. A lot of firsts for all of us.”

“I started at Watford at 11 and went to Arsenal for a couple of years and came back to Watford.” She concluded.

Fatuga Dada was on target for the Hornets in their English Women’s Championship against Blackburn Rovers on September 12, 2021.
