Newly crowned Italian champions Inter Milan, have set their sights on 17-year-old Royal Antwerp striker George Ilenikhena.

Inter Milan face the prospect of losing Alexis Sanchez, whose contract expires in June, and are also open to offers for Marko Arnautović.

Despite being one of the youngest players in the team, Ilenikhena is a regular for Royal Antwerp and has impressed with his performances.

Since joining from Amiens SC last summer, the left-footed striker has contributed to 15 goals in 48 appearances for the Belgian club.

According to reports from Italian outlet La Gazetta dello Sport, Inter sees Ilenikhena as a potential star akin to Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.

While Antwerp are reportedly demanding around 20 million euros for the forward, Inter Milan reportedly considers this price tag too high.

However, they are open to negotiations and hope to persuade Antwerp by including future fees in the deal.

Born in Lagos but raised in France since the age of three, Ilenikhena is eligible to represent both Nigeria and France at the international level.
