Super Eagles new boy Abraham Marcus revealed his excited to be getting his maiden invitation to the National team.
The 21-year-old is a surprise inclusion in Gernot Rohr’s 31 man list for June international friendly match with Cameroon.
Abraham Marcus enjoyed a break out season with his Portuguese club CD Feirense after netting 11 goals and recorded two assists.
“Having a chance to play football is just a joy for me. My main focus is just to score goals. Any time I am on the pitch, I just try to do what the coach tells me so I can score,” he said.
Reacting to his invitation, The 21-year-old said he’s looking forward to play along side big stars like Ahmed Musa, Victor Osimhen and others.
“It is a privilege to play with the big players in Nigeria like Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi, Peter Etebo, Victor Osimhen. I cannot wait to meet everyone,” he told ESPN.
Marcus joined Feirense from Nigerian club side Remo Stars and succeeded in breaking to the first team October 2020.
Since his debut against Estoril, Abraham Marcus has featured in 24 matxhes for his club this season winning seven man of the match awards.
