Defender Bruno Onyemechi is excited to be in the Super Eagles squad for Thursday’s friendly against Portugal.
The Boavista defender is one of the four new faces invited for the game by Coach Jose Peseiro. Others are Bright Osayi-Samuel, Ebube Duru, and Adebayo Adeleye.
“I’m happy and blessed to be invited to the game because it’s not easy to make it here.”
On the clash against Portugal, he said:
“It’s gonna be a difficult game, against very difficult opponents. We have to be aggressive on and off the ball because the team we are playing is very good.
Onyemaechi profited from the exclusion of Jamilu Collins and Ola Aina from the game, and he’s in contention to start the game.
On his expectations, he said:
“I have to stay calm and find my teammates when I have the ball. It’s important not to lose possession.” He concluded.
