Speaking exclusively through brila.net, Makinwa says the average Nigerian league player earns from the range of three hundred thousand naira to one million naira which is fair compared to the wages of average Nigerian workers.

”Average Nigerian players’ salaries are between three hundred, eight hundred and there are some that get one million naira,” he said.
“If a player tells you he will not go abroad to play, that’s because he is happy with what he earns and it is highly encouraging,”
