Kelechi Iheanacho was in action for 82 minutes as Jamie Vardy came from the bench to rescue a point for relegation-threatened Leicester City at Elland Road against Leeds United.

Both teams needed victory to put a little distance between them and the bottom three, but it wasn’t to be, although the point was enough for Leicester City to climb one place to 17th just a spot behind Leeds.

Iheanacho seems to be enjoying a new lease of life since the appointment of Dean Smith and has now played 30 minutes or more in his last four games; starting the last two, although he has responded to that faith by scoring in his last two games.

However, he didn’t enjoy such luck on Monday as he was brilliantly marshaled by the Leeds United defenders and there would be a bit of concern as he left the pitch feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Even when he didn’t get on the scoreboard, the player didn’t have a quiet encounter registering two shots on target, completed his two attempted dribbles, laid two key passes, and created one big chance, which he somehow fumbled eventually.

He won four of his five aerial duels and helped defensively too, making one clearance.

Safe to say the Number 14 is getting back to mojo, and he will need to continue in a similar vein of form when Leicester host West Ham at the King Power Stadium.
