English Women’s Super League side, Everton has announced the signing of Super Falcons winger, Toni Payne.

Payne joins Everton as a free agent following her departure from Sevilla Femenino.

During her time with Sevilla, the versatile winger in 30 appearances last season, netted six goals and provided four assists.

Over her time at the club, she accumulated 169 appearances and previously had a stint with Ajax.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Payne told evertontv, “I’m super excited to be an Everton player. “It’s been my dream to play in the UK and in such a strong league like the WSL. Now was the right moment for me to look for another challenge to push myself.”

Payne has earned 21 caps for Nigeria, contributing to their advancement to the Round of 16 in the 2023 World Cup.

She is also included in Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
