UECL: Nwakaeme’s Trabzonspor fell at home to Mourinho’s AS Roma

Nigerian striker Anthony Nwakaeme was on the losing side as his Club Trabzonspor fell at home to AS Roma in the first leg of UEFA Conference League game on Thursday.

Nwakaeme started the game and he lasted all 90 minutes, but failed to found the target for his Turkish Super Lig club in the game.

The game ended 1-2 in the favor of Jose Mourinho led AS Roma. Nwakaeme and his teammates have a mountain to climb when they visit Rome for the second meeting next week.

After a goalless first half, Lorenzo Pellegrini gave Roma the lead five minutes after resumption, before Andreas Cornelius equalised for Trabzonspor a minute after coming on from the bench.

Russian star Eldor Shomurodov win the game for Roma with nine minutes left on the clock.
