In a thrilling final matchday showdown, Udinese clinched a crucial 1-0 victory against Frosinone, ensuring their survival in Italian Serie A for the upcoming season.

Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye emerged as the hero of the day with a stunning performance, making crucial saves to deny Frosinone’s attacking threats.

Okoye, making his 21st league appearance of the season, was immense between the sticks

He made a total of five saves to keep Udinese in contention throughout the game.

The Nigerian’s standout moments included two spectacular saves from Nadir Zortea’s powerful strike and a threatening header from Caleb Okoli, as well as an impressive one-handed stop to deny Zortea’s curling effort.

Despite being outplayed for much of the match, Udinese managed to seize the lead in the 76th minute, courtesy of substitute Keinan Davis.

Frosinone attempted to stage a comeback, with Emanuele Valeri testing Okoye with a long-range effort, but the goalkeeper stood firm to preserve Udinese’s lead.

With this crucial victory, Udinese concluded the season in 15th place with 37 points, securing their Serie A status for another year.

However, Frosinone’s defeat condemned them to relegation to Serie B, alongside Sassuolo and Salernitana, in the final standings.
