Super Eagles winger Simon Moses sustained a serious injury during Nigeria’s international friendly clash against Mali on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by his club, Nantes FC via their social media channels, Simon suffered a fracture in his fibula, and it will sideline the winger for several months.

The injury occurred during the first half of the match, forcing the player to be stretchered off the pitch.

Moses Simon’s injury comes as a setback in a critical time for both Nantes FC and Nigeria, with important fixtures looming on the horizon.

Nantes FC (16th) will sorely miss Simon’s contributions as they fight to secure their position in Ligue 1.
