Nasarawa United’s new signing, Chigozie Obasi is happy to make a winning start to life with the club following their 2-1 win over Kwara United at the Lafia City Stadium.
Obasi signed for the club during the mid-season transfer window and made his debut against the Harmony Boys.
Obasi gave a man-of-the-match performance and was involved in both goals scored by Anas Yusuf and Silas Nwankwo as the Solid Miners matched to another three points.
Speaking on his debut for the club, Obasi, said he’s excited to start the new adventure on a positive and also praised his teammates for the warm welcome.
“I feel great and I am so excited because it’s my first game for Nasarawa United and the emerging man of the match made me really happy. It was God, not me”.
He adds: “the players of Nasarawa United have been very good to him, right from the first time he resumed with the team.
“There are a lot of great players here. From my own point of view, we are good to go and by his grace, we are picking up the continental ticket”. He concluded.
