Ndidi Happy with New Role At Leicester

Wilfred Ndidi is enjoying his new role under Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca.
Ndidi, the holding midfielder has been
used largely as an attacking midfielder, mostly, by Leicester’s Italian gaffer so far this season.

The experiment has been fairly successful with Ndidi contributing three goals and one assist to the team’s good run.

“It’s been good, it’s the other side of my game,” Ndidi told BBC Radio Leicester’s When You’re Smiling Podcast.

“As a child growing up I’ve always been a central defender and then turning into a number six and now enjoying the number eight position.

“It’s just the way I am, having an open mind to play any position I can possibly play on the pitch. Just trying to enjoy football, be myself and enjoy football.”

The 26-year-old has two years left on his contract and was linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the last transfer window.
