Nigeria Arrives Bouaké for Semi-final Clash vs South Africa

For the first time in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria will play in another city outside of Abidjan, as flew out to Bouaké, Monday night ahead of their semi-final match against South Africa.

Through the group and knock out stages of the 2023 AFCON, Nigeria played in Stade Alassane Ouattara and Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny, both in Abidjan.

On Monday, at 10 local-time, the team flew from Abidjan to Bouaké, and will commence the final-leg of their preparation for Wednesday’s game early.

An official pre-match presser is scheduled for 11am, where head coach, Jose Peseiro and Forward Kelechi Iheanacho will both attend.

Later in the evening, Peseiro will lead his team in a training session; the only scheduled practice session before matchday.

Nigeria and South have between them four AFCON titles, and the clash at Stade de la Paix is only the third meeting between them in AFCON history.
