Technical Director of the Athletes Federation of Nigeria Sunday Adeleye has urged the leadership of the Federation and the Nigeria Government to ensure Sprint star Divine Oduduru remains a Nigerian Athlete.
In a chat with Brila.net, Adeleye called on the Nigerian Government to do the needful in ensuring Divine Oduduru does not nationalize in the USA to compete for them.
The AFN director acknowledged that a whole lot has been put in place for Oduduru to enhance his performance on the track by his managers in the United States.
“His records does not just come like that, funds have been spent,
And as such, the AFN technical director is urging the government to try as much as possible to ensure he competes for us because the major reason our athletes represent other nations is because of welfare packages, he said.
