Former Enyimba player Victor Ezeji has criticized the Nigerian national team, stating that the lack of competition among players is leading to a relaxed attitude on the field.

Ezeji emphasized the need for players to show a more competitive spirit throughout any game.

He argued for the importance of having a coach who commands respect rather than one who is merely popular among players.

Victor Ezeji, who won many laurels with Enyimba in his playing days, suggested that merit-based coaching appointments could help address issues such as bribery in the National teams.

Speaking on Brila’s Big Interview, the former international urged the NFF to Nigeria’s qualification to the 2028 Olympics Games Men’s football event.
