Coach of Nigeria’s Premier Basketball League side Kwara Falcons Adewumi Aderemi has stated that he hasn’t been handed any mandate by the club for the ongoing season but that the resolve of the team remain as high as possible and that they intend to surpass last season’s fourth place finish recorded by the team.
Aderemi revealed in a chat with www.brila.net that working without a mandate and specific target from the management of the club has been the major drive behind his team’s run in the Nigerian basketball topflight and this he believes will help the team excel at the end of the current campaign.
Aderemi added that they respects the big teams in the league but have a resolve to break the existing order and get pass the 4th spot by at the end of the season.
“The Management are so encouraging and they don’t put the coaches or players under pressure which is a very good thing. Though we respects every teams but we are not afraid of any team. Last season we ended fourth position but this season by the special grace of God we want to do better than what we did last season.”
