Kano Pillars and home-based Super Eagles striker Nyima Nwagua has stated that he hopes the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will be able to go beyond handing players of the Nigeria Professional Football League call ups but actually field them on matchday ahead of the Africa cup of nations qualifying ties against the Squirrels of Benin and Crocodiles of Lesotho.
Nwagua speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that while inviting the players is good recognition for their works in the league playing them on match day will go beyond the players called up alone as it will also encourage others to strive more for future consideration as well for national team assignments.
