Odigie offers advice to Ladan Bosso’s Flying Eagles

Former national U23  assistant coach Monday Odigie has advised the Flying Eagles team to avoid picking unnecessary fouls that will amount to a red card.

Odigie, in a chat with brila.net, said the youth team should avoid unnecessary fouls which led to the one man down they played against Côte D’Ivoire which ended in a stalemate 1-1.

He added that whoever was red-carded will be missed being a first-team player – He also urged Nigerians to pray for the team as they continue their quest for the qualification from the Wafu B championship.

“The team has started well though not good enough but they just have to keep focus and ensure the next game they do everything possible to try and win and avoid conceding fouls that will make the team be at the receiving end.”

“Because at tournaments like this, it’s very important you try and play with fewer fouls, whoever that was red-carded will be missed at the subsequent games being a first-team player, they should remain focus and continue, I am sure they will improve and continue with their run from the next game, let’s pray for the boys and wish that they get a better game against Ghana and be able to go ahead,”he stated.

Nigerians Flying eagles team started their campaign over the weekend against cote Devoir hopefully they beat Ghana and be positive to qualify against their next foe.
