Nigeria sole representative in this season’s CAF Lobi Stars have named a strong 23 man squad ahead of their next Group gameagainst Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca scheduled for the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
The Pride of Benue resumed domestic assignment last week as they drew 0-0 at Enyimba, before beating Kwara United 3-0 at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi.
However Chief coach Solomon Ogbeide has retained the18 players that he used to prosecute the two games while adding another five to make 23 players.
John Lawrence who has finished his two game ban from CAFmissed the two league games but will been recalled to the team alongside Chile Azu, Cletus Itodo and Mba Ezekiel.
John Lawrence, Olufemi Kayode and Ospina Egbe are the three goalkeepers selected and the defenders are Ebube Duru, Solomon Kwambe, Chile Azu, Bunde Moses and Monsuru Bashir.
Ejene Olisema, Yaya Kone, Kelly Kester, Dare Ojo, David Tyavkasse and Alex Aghahowa are the midfielders.
While the strikers are Samuel Mattias, Austin Ogunye, Najeem Olukokun, Michael Stephens.
The four teams in the group are all three points each from two matches but Wydad Casablanca and Mamelodi Sundown are first and second on the log due to superior goal difference ahead of Lobi Stars and Asec Mimosas who are third and fourth respectively.
