Super Eagles striker Anthony Okpotu is delighted to help his club US Monastir finish third in Tunisian Ligue one table.
Okpotu was star of the campaign in just concluded 2019-2020 Tunisian Ligue one season as he bagged 13 goals to finish as the highest goal scorer for his team.
His goals went a long way to help US Monastir finished third on the table, a result that qualifies them for the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in their history.
An elated Okpotu took to his social media handle to celebrate the feat, as he look forward to playing on the continent.
“We aimed for the stars but we landed on the moon, CAF Confederation Cup and Arab cup tickets are in the bag”, he said.
Okpotu joined US Monastir from Nigeria professional football league club side, Lobi Stars where he won the top the league top scorer award.
