Okpotu, Orkuma join Qatari sides Qatar SC and Umm Salal SC

The duo of Anthony Okpotu and Moses Orkuma have left Tunisian side US Monastir to join Qatari sides, Qatar SC and Umm Salal SC respectively.

 

 

Both players left US Monastir after talks over a new deal broke down between their representatives and the club’s management.

 

According to Tunisian tabloid Ettachkila.com, USM president, Ahmed Belli met with the representatives of both players, but they failed to reach an agreement before the club sanctioned their transfer.

 

 

According to the report, Qatar SC will pay close to $1.2million for Okpotu while Orkuma will cost Umm Salal Sc about $500,000.

 

 

Okpotu and Orkuma, helped USM to win the 2019/2020 Tunisian Cup, finished third in the Tunisian Ligue 1, and also qualified them for CAF Confederations Cup.

 

 

Okpotu scored 13 Goals in 25 games to finish as the top scorer of the 2019/20 Tunisian Ligue 1. He was also voted as the 2019-2020 Tunisian Ligue one Most Valuable Player.
