Onome Ebi axed by Levante Las Planas

Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi has been released by Spanish side, Levante Las Planas, after four months with the Club, according to reports.

The veteran CB was allowed to leave following an unimpressive stint that saw her play just once for the club.

Ebi signed for the Club in the summer as a free agent, following her exit from Belarus Champions Minsk FC.

She has been struggling with fitness, since suffering hamstring injury during Nigeria’s Africa Women’s Championship semi-final clash against Morocco in July 2022.

The 39 year-old was was declared surplus to requirement in December 2022, before she was finally shown the exit.

Onome Ebi will be hoping to rediscover her form quickly with the Super Falcons camp for the FIFA Women’s World Cup set to open in February.
