Falcons skipper Asisat Oshoala is a Spanish Champion with Barcelona for the second consecutive season.
The Catalan giants sealed the 2021-2022 Spanish Primera Iberdrola title on Sunday after smashing fellow contenders Real Madrid 5-0 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
Oshoala who signed a contract extension few days ago missed the game due to injury, but she is pivotal to the success of the team this season.
The Nigerian Captain contributed 19 league goals (most by an individual in the league this season), before picking a muscle injury that sidelined her for 10 weeks .
In Oshoala’s absence Alexia Putellas was the hero as he netted a brace against Real Madrid .
The Spanish star opened the floodgate in the 41st minutes to put the hosts ahead in the tie.
She grabbed her second of the game two minutes later and put Barcelona in firm control.
In the second half, Patri Guijarro and Jenni Hermoso both scored, before Real Madrid’s Babeett Peter diverted a ball into her own net to make it 5-0.
Barcelona who are yet to drop point in the league now have 72 points from 24 league matches, and clincher the Championship with six game to spare.
