Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen sets another record in Italian Serie A with his goal against Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris on Sunday.
The Nigerian who is Napoli’s top scorer this season, with twelve goals scored in the first half, following a fine pass from Mario Ruiz.
The goal is Osimhen’s 10th of the campaign in the domestic league this season and the 24-year-old forward becomes the second African player to score 10+ goals in three different Serie A seasons, after George Weah with Milan (1995-96; 1996-97 and 1997-98).
The forward hit 10 goals in his debut season ( 2020-2021), and followed it up with 14 goals last season.
He’s four goals behind his last season’s tally with 21 games left to play.
The striker will be hoping to add to his tally when Napoli host Juventus on Friday.
