Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has moved to third in the ranking of players with the most home goals record in the UEFA Champions League, over the past two seasons.

Trailing only behind Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, Osimhen claimed the spot after he netted Napoli’s leveler against Barcelona.

Wednesday’s match marked the 25 year-old’s return to the pitch since his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations campaign with Nigeria.

Osimhen’s tally of six Champions League goals at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona leaves him behind only Mbappe with nine and Haaland with 12 goals; placing the Nigerian in elite company.

Adding to his achievements, Osimhen’s recent goal also leveled him with Lorenzo Insigne on Napoli top scorers’ chart in the UCL, and only Dries Mertens (11) has more for the Partenopei.

Meanwhile, anticipation now builds as Napoli look ahead to their crucial second-leg clash with Barcelona on March 12, for a place in the quarter-final.
