Osimhen to undergo further test to know the extent of his injury

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will be examined by his Club Lille know the severity of his injury he sustained over the weekend.

Osimhen was stretched off the pitch in Lille’s 2-0 win over Dijon last Sunday in what suspected to be a muscle injury and he’s doubtful for the next game against Olympique Marseille on February 16.

 

Osimhen who scored his 17th goal of the season in the same game will now undergo a test on the injured leg to know if he will be available to play the next game or will need more time to recover.

 

Lille boss Christopher Galtier played down any serious damage during his interview after the game, but admit they must wait for further test to the know the state of the player.

 

The length and severity of his injury will be determined after tests are carried out on Tuesday.

 

Meanwhile, Super Eagles manager will hoping the player recover in time to be ready to the upcoming 2021 Afcon qualifiers with Sierra Leone next month.
