South African forward, Thembi Kgatlana is confident Banyana Banyana can overturn 1-0 Deficit Against Nigeria.

Banyana, led by Desiree Ellis, will go into the crucial rematch against the Super Falcons at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria this Tuesday.

With a spot in Paris 2024 at stake, Ellis’ team needs to score at least two goals while keeping a clean sheet to secure advancement.

Kgatlana, unwavering in her determination, expresses confidence in her team’s ability to deliver a victory on home turf.

“The good thing is [that] this is not a tournament,” the forward noted.

“We know after the game in Pretoria, whoever wins will go through, but they have the advantage after the first leg; there is no away-goal rule.  I also think that gives us more confidence because we are not chasing the game.

“We know that we have to win with a better score. We also have an advantage at home with better facilities,” she told SAFA media.
