Aston Villa are ready to follow up interest in striker Paul Onuachu by submitting an official bid when the transfer window reopens in January.
Onuachu has been on the radar of Villa for a few months and BirminghamLive claims, the club is now ready to snap up the striker.
Villa were linked with an interest in the 28-year-old last season, but the deal didn’t materialize as the Nigerian stayed in Belgium.
The striker has been ‘closely watched’ by Villa over the last 12 months and that the club are ‘considering submitting an offer’ for Paul Onuachu.
KRC Genk chief Dimitri de Conde has admitted that the club may be cash in on the striker, if a suitable offer arrives.
“We cannot simply block an offer. But Wouter Vrancken and myself will do everything we can to convince Paul to stay with Genk,” He said.
Onuachu has scored 14 goals in 15 league outings for Genk this season and he has a contract until 2024.
