Peseiro hails Flying Eagles’ last eight finish at the FIFA World Cup

Super Eagles Jose Peseiro has offered some word of encouragement to the Flying Eagles following their elimination from 2023 U-20 World Cup.

The Flying Eagles were shown the exit door from the tournament by South Korea in the quarter-finals on Sunday evening.

The defeat followed Flying Eagles incredible round of 16 win over hosts and favorites Argentina.

An extra time goal from Seok-Hyun Choi sent the Taegeuk Warriors to last four at the expense the Nigerian youngsters.

Reacting to the result, Peseiro says the  Ladan Bosso’s boys have shown the world their qualities, stating that they deserve to be celebrated.

“Heads up, Flying Eagles!” Peserio wrote on Twitter.

“What you have shown in this world cup makes Nigerian people proud.”

“They fought and honoured to the end and earned a place among the top 8 teams in the World.” Peseiro posted on Twitter.

The last time Nigeria took part in semi-final of the tournament was in 2005.
