Kano Pillars coach Ibrahim Musa has stated that his team’s continental slot for the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation cup is still a product of hard work despite been awarded the slot in view of the inability to stage the Federations cup this year due to the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Musa speaking in a chat with brila.net expressed delight for the continental opportunity but stressed that the ticket wasn’t handed to his side on the ground of luck but one still attributed to hard work done which lead to winning the Federation Cup in 2019 and now been opportune to represent the country again on the ground of still been the defending champion of the competition.
“It’s the will of God because we are the defending champion because there is no time to play Federation cup so they decide since there is no time to play Federation cup let the defending champion maintain position, not Corona. I’m happy because I get another opportunity but it’s high time for us to prepare well.”
