Coach of Heartland football club of Owerri, Ransom Madu has dissmissed the talks that his side are one of the favourite team to win the 2019 Nigeria professional football league title.
Heartland are sitting on top of NPFL group B log after an impressive start to the season which has prompted the league lovers to tip the Club for glory come end of the season.
While many feels this might be year the Club would win the titleagain, Ransom Madu says the Club is fighting for their lives to stay in the elite division and not winning the title.
“For now we are battling for relegation. I am not thinking about winning the league yet. We are working to balance the team because it’s a very tough format and eight teams are going to drop. So we are concentrating on avoiding the drop, but if the league title comes our way we will take it.”
The Naze Millionaires which has 9 points from four games will visits Yobe Desert Stars in a matchday five clash on Sunday.
