Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu was on target as RKC Genk defeated Sporting Charleroi 2 – 1 in the Belgian Jupiler league on Sunday.
Onuachu returned to the starting line up for the former Belgian champions after his unimpressive outing with the Super Eagles last week.
Onuachu netted the first goal of the game in the 25th minute, to take his tally for the season to eight goals.
Charleroi got their equalizer through West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino in the 48th minute before Joakim Maechele scored the decisive goal for Genk in the 63rd minute.
Onuachu is now the leading scorer in this season’s Belgian league with 8 goals from 8 matches for Genk.
The former FC Midtylland striker has also scored in his last 5 league games, included goals against : Sporting Charleroi, Waasland-Beveren, KV Oostende, KV Mechelen and K Beerschot V.A.
