Victor Mbaoma netted his 16th league goal of the season for Enyimba in Sunday’s defeat to relegation battling MFM FC in Ijebu Ode.
Mbaoma scored in the 52nd minute to put Enyimba ahead against the hosts, however, Enyimba couldn’t hold their lead.
Victor Mbaoma put the visitors ahead with a beautiful finish off Christian Ekong’s assist.
The goal saw him tie Rivers United’s Chijioke Akuneto on 16 goals for the season.
However MFM FC fought their way back into the game and snatched a confidence boosting win.
Oladayo Alabi leveled the score from the spot for MFM in the 62nd minute, before Nduka David completed the turn around in the 75th minute, thanks to an assist from Alabi.
In his reaction after the game, Mbaoma tweeted his disappointment with the outcome in spite of his personal milestone.
