Rivers United Coach Stanley Eguma handed Three-match Ultimatum

These are troubled times for Rivers United Coach, Stanley Eguma who has been issued a three-match ultimatum by the Club’s Management to turn results around or get the sack.

Eguma who is currently the longest serving Coach with a NPFL club – Dolphins, before the merger with Sharks FC – has struggled this season, with Rivers languishing in 16th position after 28 matches.

According to Exodus FM’s Abidoye Babatunde, the three-match ultimatum was confirmed by the club’s General Manager, Chief Okey Kpaluku.

“Rivers Utd management has issued Coach Stanley Eguma a 3match ultimatum. This is confirmed by General manager Chief Okey Kpaluku.”

The club has won just once in the last five competitive matches and recently suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to fellow league strugglers, Sunshine Stars.

On Sunday, the club hosts Wikki Tourist then play another home game against title chasing Akwa United before they travel to Kano where the take on four-time league champions, Pillars.
