Brendan Rodgers says he’s impressed with Kelechi Iheanacho’s attitude and the works he has done in recent weeks.
Iheanacho has contributed immensely to Leicester City’s brilliant start to the Europa League campaign, scoring three goals and setting another three in two matches.
The Nigerian forward has been used as back up to first choice Jamie Vardy who Rodgers confirmed remains his number 9, despite Iheanacho’s good form.
The former Liverpool boss, also stated that Iheanacho is always ready to take his chance, where ever he’s been call upon.
” He’s always ready, he knows Jamie Vardy’s one of the best strikers in the world, but he plays a wonderful part in ensuring we continue with our momentum and I thought he was excellent,” he said in relation to his brace against Sporting Braga on Thursday.
