Rwanda has been chosen as the host nation for two table tennis tournaments:, the 2024 Olympics Qualification for singles and the Africa Cup.

The announcement was made during the annual general meeting of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF), held in conjunction with the 26th ITTF African Championships.

Rwanda’s successful bid to host these major table tennis events reflects a significant milestone for the country.

It marks the first time that Rwanda will have the honor of hosting such prestigious tournaments on the international table tennis calendar.

The decision to award Rwanda the hosting rights came after receiving substantial support from the delegates present at the ATTF meeting.

Notably, Tunisia, a fellow contender in the bidding process, withdrew its bid and rallied behind Rwanda’s candidacy.
