Sadiq Umar nets a brace for Almeria against Alcorcon

Sadiq Umar scored twice for Almeria in the 4-0 trashing of Alcorcon in the Matchday 6 of Spanish Segunda on Friday.

The Nigerian striker was unstoppable as he netted both goals in the first half to take his tally to four in five appearances this season.

The lanky forward opened the scoring in the opening fifth minutes with a perfect individual effort.

The former AS Roma and Partizan Belgrade forward doubled the lead for Almeria in the 16th minutes when he converted a perfect pass from Francisco Portillo.

He almost completed his hat-trick in the first half, but his penalty was saved came off the post before being turned in by Alcorcon goalkeeper and it was recorded as an own goal.

Alejandro Pozo scored the fourth for Almeria in the 68 minutes, thanks to a pass from Lucas Roberton.

The win has however moved Almeria to second on the log but with more games played that others.
