Arsenal full back Hector Bellerin has been mocked on social media for being the only player to adorn his runner-up medal after the European Under-21 final.
The defender’s side fell to a 1-0 loss against Germany on Friday and the Spanish players were handed the secondary prize of runner-up medals.
The Gunners star was filmed collecting his silverware, and despite the rest of his team-mates immediately removing the medals, he kept his firmly around his neck.

Twitter users joked that it is an all too familiar feeling for the stopper, having come close to Premier League success at Arsenal but ultimately falling short.
Bellerin, who raised £18,000 for the Grenfell Tower victims during his time at the Euros, claimed the FA Cup with Arsenal this season.
But that wasn’t enough to deter social media from aiming a dig at the north London club’s shortcomings in the Premier League.
