Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson has issued a strong response to criticism from former Blues midfielder, Mikel Obi, telling the ex-blues player to “shut his mouth.”

Mikel had criticized Jackson following the Senegalese’s underwhelming performance against Manchester City last Sunday, claiming that Jackson missed too many chances, and suggesting that Chelsea should consider signing Victor Osimhen as an alternative.

Jackson answered his critics on the pitch by scoring Chelsea’s opening goal in their 6-2 victory over Wolves, marking the club’s fastest Premier League goal since 2017.

Following the match, He took to social media to address Mikel’s comments directly.

“Mikel Obi, shut your mouth, don’t talk sh*t, we are killing ourselves for Africa,” Jackson wrote in a post on Instagram, making his feelings about the criticism clear.

The forward headed in at the back post inside the opening two minutes for Chelsea’s first goal.
