Italian side Benevento could take disciplinary actions against Simy Nwankwo for attending the UEFA Champions League match between Napoli and Milan on Tuesday.

Simy was in the stands at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium as one of the guests of Napoli star, Victor Osimhen.

Video of the Simy and Osimhen with other Nigerian celebrities surfaced on internet after the game, and the club frowned at it.

According to Tutto Napoli, the club’s management believes the Player’s behaviour was unprofessional and are set to take disciplinary action against the Nigerian.

It is understood that the 30 year-old forward did not ask for Benevento’s permission to attend the game.

Simy is the only African footballer to have been top scorer in an Italian professional league (2019–20 Serie B).

The forward, however, has not lived up to his goal scoring reputation since moving to the Serie B side, failing to score or assist a goal in 22 league appearances this season.
