Slavia Prague have signed Muhamed Tijani from Baník Ostrava as a replacement for Peter Olayinka, who left the club at the end of last season.
Tijani, a 22-year-old striker, has been capped by Nigeria at U-20 level and was a member of the team that won the 2019 African U-20 Championship. He has also played for Třinec and Karviná in the Czech Republic.
Tijani is a versatile forward who can play as a winger or striker. He is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and finishing ability. He is also a good passer and can create chances for his teammates.
Slavia Prague are hoping that Tijani can fill the void left by Olayinka, who was a key player for the club over the past five seasons. Olayinka scored 43 goals and provided 23 assists in 170 appearances for Slavia Prague. He helped the club win the Czech First League title in 2019-20 and 2020-21, as well as the Czech Cup in 2020 and 2021.
